As we step into 2025, we’re thrilled to reflect on the incredible journey we've had over the past few months. From development breakthroughs to public showcases, Dormot has made significant strides toward transforming property management in Africa.
Africa Startup Festival: Showcasing Dormot’s Ecosystem
On November 16th, we had the privilege of exhibiting at the Africa Startup Festival at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos. This event was an incredible opportunity to present the Dormot Ecosystem, featuring Dormot Core, Dormot Homes, and GuestPass. The reception was overwhelmingly positive, validating the need for a comprehensive property management solution tailored to the African market.

Our team, including Joshua Yohanna (Head of Engineering), Martins Dareno (Business Development), Benjamin Emmanuel (Branding), and I, connected with industry leaders, prospective clients, and innovators. The excitement and feedback we received reinforced our mission to bridge gaps in property management with technology.

Development: Building and Refining the Ecosystem
As of today, Dormot Core has officially launched, marking a significant milestone in our journey. Over the past year, our focus has been on building robust solutions, including integrating AI into our ecosystem to streamline property management, enhance visitor handling, and optimising financial tracking.
Our development team has grown with developers specialising in full-stack, front-end, and AI development. Their expertise has accelerated our progress, enabling us to enhance features, improve scalability, and prepare for the launch of GuestPass and Dormot Homes in February.
Expanding Horizons: Engagement in Port Harcourt
In December, I traveled to Port Harcourt to engage with developers and property management firms. This visit reaffirmed the potential of Dormot Technologies in South-South Nigeria, where we saw exciting developments from companies like Greater Taf City, Rawland Developments with their City Pride Estate, and Rainbow Heritage Group with Reef Courts. These companies highlight the growing demand for housing, the ingenuity being applied to meet these demands, and the need for seamless tech-driven property management solutions.

What’s Next: Onboarding and Future Launches
Dormot Core is now live, and we’re kicking off with an update to our website to reflect this. Onboarding for estates and property management companies will commence this January. This is the year we transition from building the application to showcasing it, achieving product-market fit and proving to the industry that PropTech is the next FinTech.
Next month, we’re launching GuestPass and Dormot Homes. These products extend our vision of a unified ecosystem, delivering value across the entire property lifecycle. Whether managing visitors securely or enabling property short-stays, Dormot continues to innovate.
A Revolutionary Partnership
We are thrilled to announce that Dormot has signed a partnership with two fantastic multinational Pan-African institutions to build a groundbreaking application that promises to revolutionise the real estate space. While we can’t reveal all the details yet, this collaboration reflects our commitment to creating innovative solutions that address real-world challenges. Stay tuned for an official announcement towards the middle of the year—we’re excited about what’s to come!
2025: The Year of Dormot
As we begin this new year, our goal is clear: to demonstrate Dormot’s expertise, design excellence, and ability to address market gaps. With the overwhelming reception we’ve received so far, we’re optimistic about onboarding 8,000 properties by the end of the year and expanding our ecosystem even further.
Stay tuned for more updates, as 2025 promises to be a transformative year for Dormot Technologies. Thank you for being part of this journey—we can’t wait to share what’s next!
